**Job description**

Intentional Outcomes Counselling provides mental health therapy using evidence-based modalities. Intentional Outcomes Counselling is growing and is currently seeking a Clinical Social Worker who has a private practice license. We are hiring for an independent contractor to be part of the mental health team to offer psychotherapy to clients who have a mild to moderate diagnosed mental illness. The position is flexible with day and evening openings. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome interest from all qualified applicants.

As a clinical therapist in good standing with the Nova Scotia Collage of Social Workers, you will:

- Provide evidence based cognitive behavioral therapy in a group or individual setting
- Excellent clinical skills and experience with assessment, treatment and management of mental health problems commonly seen in primary care
- Provide clinical interventions designed to promote community integration and symptom recovery using evidence based modalities. (eg CBT,DBT, PE, ACT etc.)
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation
- Form and establish a therapeutic relationship with clients and if needed, their families
- Be knowledgeable in working with clients from a variety of backgrounds

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum five years working experience in a hospital or community-based clinical team delivering cognitive behavioral or dialectical behavioral individual and group therapy
- Registration and good standing with the Nova Scotia Collage of Social Work with private practice licensing.
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychotherapy or a related discipline
- Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and use of technology in the workplace
- Availability one evening a week is required
