**Regulatory Advisor **- Overview**

Canlin Energy is seeking a Regulatory Advisor to support the Regulatory team. Reporting to the Regulatory Team Lead, the Advisor is responsible for supporting the organization in maintaining operational regulatory compliance obligations within Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. This person will provide technical and analytical regulatory support and will have a role in working in a collaborative culture across multiple functional teams.

This role is a full-time employee position based out of the Calgary downtown office.

**The Role**

Working within the Calgary Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Team, this role provides support, guidance, and execution of critical activities within the regulatory function.
- SME and corporate representative of Provincial Regulator Systems in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
- Coordinate and facilitate D13 meetings with Production Engineers. Including annual well testing programs, SCVF testing, PIT program and pool survey report and track submissions to regulator systems.
- Prepare and review technical reports and summaries to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and conditions.
- Support for well workovers, drilling, completions, and abandonment submissions.
- Lead and summarize responses to regulator audits and inspections. Assignment and tracking of inspection actions.
- Support the organization with understanding of Regulations and Directives.
- Provide weekly regulatory reporting updates to corporate personnel.
- Interpret and communicate on emerging regulatory bulletins and notices to internal parties.

**The Person**
- 5-10 years direct experience in a regulatory position within Oil and Gas in Alberta or British Columbia.
- Proficient with Provincial regulatory reporting systems such as KERMIT/E submission, Digital Data Submission (DDS), OneStop, and Integrated Resource Information System (IRIS) platforms.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint)
- Experience with GeoScout, Abadata, Wellview, Accumap, Petrinex, Cenozon, Velocity, opLYNX and other industry programs is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and communicate across multiple internal functional teams and regulatory bodies.
- Able to multitask, create, and manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
- Independent work habits coupled with innovative problem-solving skills and a practical mindset.
