Respite Worker

At Hand in Hand Therapy Centre, we are a group of professional educators and clinicians who are dedicated to providing efficient and effective educational services for all children/adults. Our open door policy, allowing parents to take part and watch their loved ones grow day by day, gives parents the opportunity to learn and continue their own therapy at home. In the last ten years we have focused on using our educational and clinical expertise to teach children with a variety of learning styles in their homes, schools, communities, and at our centre.

Hand in Hand Therapy Centre, we provide respite services to children and adolescents. We are looking to hire respite workers to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related behavioural difficulties.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- implementing client-specific programming and teaching procedures for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 1:1 settings.
- delivering direct respite support services in both in-home and centre-based settings.
- recording and graphing data
- working collaboratively with client team
- any administrative duties as assigned by Senior Therapist and/or Clinical Supervisor

Qualifications and Skills:

- Degree in Psychology or diploma in Behavioural Science (Autism and Behavioural Science; Behavioural Science diploma) or equivalent
- License to drive in Ontario and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to travel across GTA
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to conduct in-home and center-based sessions for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder in GTA
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- An up-to-date Vulnerable Sectors Screening

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual

**Salary**: $16.55-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
