**Accounting Associate.**

**Your daily responsibilities will include**:

- Interacting withyour team members in a collaborative office setting
- Matching packing slip to our purchase order before processing
- Coding invoices with G/L distribution when processing
- Verifying Invoices for correctness to posting edit list before posting
- Processing debit memos when adjustments are necessary to vendor accounts
- Obtaining authorized signatures for invoiced payments
- Verifying that vendor statements are balanced with our records and that all returnable container credits are received
- Weekly cheque runs paying utilities, employee expenses, garnishees, postage, and vendor discounts
- Monthly cheque run for payment for all vendor accounts
- Arranging courier collect/pick up as requested by vendors
- Making calls to follow-up on outstanding invoice payments
- Filing for all paid invoices after cheque runs are complete and other reports as required
- Phone contact with vendors to deal with their inquiries in a timely efficient manner
- Responsible to close the month-end and year-end periods
- Resolving issues with vendors, purchasing and receiving
- Other duties as required

**What are we looking for?**
- Post - Secondary education in Accounting is required or equivalent experience in accounting
- 2+ years experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications
- Excellent communication both verbal and written
- Great organizational skills and a keen eye for attention to details
- Strong Problem-solving skills
