Job Overview
The Parts Picker plays a vital role in the efficient handling and delivery of parts for all kitchen cabinet jobs. This position involves organizing, scanning, and staging parts, ensuring job completeness, assisting with shipping and delivery preparation, and maintaining inventory. Additionally, the Parts Picker will occasionally drive the company van to drop off parts, monitor and report on production assistant software, and act as a backup to the shipping manager when needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Efficiently organize and scan parts required for upcoming jobs. Stage parts in preparation for delivery ensuring they are readily available and accurately accounted for.
- Verify that all parts and components are complete and ready for delivery, conducting thorough checks to confirm that each job meets our quality standards before being sent out.
- Support the shipping manager with various jobs, including preparing deliveries and assisting with logístical tasks to ensure timely and accurate shipping of kitchen cabinet orders.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with various departments to discuss job timelines, part requirements, and any potential issues related to upcoming deliveries.
- Construct hardware boxes as needed and maintain inventory levels in your area. Ensure that parts are properly stored and inventory is accurately tracked to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Occasionally drive the company van to deliver parts to various locations as required. Ensure safe and timely transportation of materials.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Monitor and track parts for all service orders, updating the ZOHO system with accurate information to reflect real-time status and inventory levels.
- Serve as a backup to the shipping manager during their absence, taking on additional responsibilities to ensure the continued smooth operation of shipping and delivery processes.
- Oversee and report on the production assistant software, ensuring accurate data entry and monitoring of production progress. Address any discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Drivers License and clean driving abstract
- 1 year previous experience in a warehouse or parts picking role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and department heads.
- Skilled in maintaining a cohesive team, and encouraging mutual respect among team members
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and shipping processes is a plus.
- Proficient in making informed decisions, taking into account data, team input, and potential impacts on the organization.
- Physical ability to lift and move parts and materials (up to 50lbs) as required.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
