**THE OPPORTUNITY**
Campfire Circle is currently seeking a Manager, Overnight Program to join our incredible Overnight Programs team The Manager, Overnight Program at Muskoka will be accountable for development, delivery, and management of safe, fun, accessible, and engaging camp-style programs that meet the needs of campers, families, staff, and volunteers at Overnight Camp Programs. This position works under the supervision of the Director, Overnight Program - Muskoka, and collaboratively with the Manager,
Camp Life to oversee all elements of summer overnight programs and WAC (weekend at camp) programs through the fall and winter. They are a key leader in the planning, risk management, and facilitation of camp, with a focus on programs.

This role reports to the Director, Overnight Program (Muskoka), and directly manages the following positions:

- Coordinator, Leadership & Tripping Program
- Coordinator, Activities (from June-August)
- Coordinator, Entertainment
- Summer Activity Staff Team (approximately 20 staff)
- Seasonal Weekend Program Staff (4-8 weekends during fall and winter)

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
**1. Planning**:

- Support the Director, Overnight Program - Muskoka in the development, execution and monitoring of short
- and long-term plans for all overnight programming designed to meet the goals for strategic growth of the organization.
- Develop and ensure implementation of annual and long-range Overnight Program plans and budgets consistent with the strategic goals of the organization.
- Actively participate in the monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of program plans and budgets.

**2. Overnight Camp Programming**:

- Manage the development and delivery of safe, fun, accessible and engaging camp-style programs that meet the needs of campers year-round including: o Summer Overnight Programs (Camper & Family Programs) o Weekends at Camp
- Oversee scheduling, design and facilitation of programs and activities.
- Responsible for development of programming manuals, and resources.
- Collaborate with the camp management team to ensure Muskoka’s overnight programs incorporate the camp’s values and traditions.
- Responsible for overseeing program equipment and supply purchasing, inventory, maintenance and care.
- Work closely with Director in overseeing program risk management.
- Be on site to manage camp in absence of Director in the summer.
- Responsible for planning and executive of Weekend at Camp programs year-round.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Camp Life to ensure all programs meets relevant accreditations and laws (including, but not limited to Ontario Camps Association, Public Health Regulations, AODA)
- Maintain all affiliation relationships for the camper program, including Ontario Recreational Canoe & Kayak Association (ORCKA), Challenges Unlimited Inc. (CUI), Adventureworks, RedCross, Lifesaving Society, Waterski Wakeboard Ontario (WSWO), etc. and as applicable.
- Manage program merchandise ordering, inventory and distribution for campers, volunteers and guests.
- Manage bus chaperone training and programming for year-round overnight programs.
- Maintain photo sharing database for overnight programs year-round and document photographs and camper stories for overnight programs.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Sites & Facilities Team on issues related to site maintenance with affect programming.

**3. Training & Development and Leadership Program Management**:

- Partners with other departments to provide program development/execution leadership/guidance on an as-needed basis ie. For events requiring program development
- Develops content for and leads training sessions related to program development and leadership at summer staff training onsite.
- Develops training content and training schedule for onsite WAC training.
- Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the year-round Leadership Program with the Coordinator, Leadership Program.
- This program includes but is not limited to summer leadership programs, year-round out-trips, exchanges, high school credit program, community programs and survivorship programs.
- Partners with and advises the Coordinator, Leadership & Tripping in developing a safe, fun, challenging, and accessible leadership program across two development streams: general leadership competency and future staff development.
