**Role Description**

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Safety Officer (CSO) at Nor-Lag Coatings Ltd in Pointe-Claire, QC. The Safety Officer will be responsible for overseeing health and safety protocols, conducting accident investigations, providing safety training, and ensuring security measures are in place.

**Qualifications**
- Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Accident Investigation skills
- Security and Safety Training expertise
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
- Valid Level 2 or 3 First Aid certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- In-depth knowledge of COR, Workers Compensation Act, OHS Regulations, and applicable standards
- CSO Designation is considered an asset
- Ability to remain objective and maintain a factual perspective when dealing with questions and inquiries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Proficient with technology - Safety Management Software is used to perform inspections, toolbox talks, etc.
- At least 3 years of relevant Experience in a Safety Role
- Demonstrated experience with COR Certification processes, including achieving and maintaining certification
- Proficiency in HSE management software, incident reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite

**Description du poste**

Il s'agit d'un poste à temps plein, sur place, pour un agent de sécurité en construction (ASC) chez Nor-Lag Coatings Ltd à Pointe-Claire, au Québec. L'agent de sécurité sera chargé de superviser les protocoles de santé et de sécurité, de mener des enquêtes sur les accidents, d'offrir une formation en matière de sécurité et de veiller à ce que des mesures de sécurité soient en place.

Compétences en matière de santé et de sécurité, de santé au travail et d'enquêtes sur les accidents

Compétences en matière de formation à la sécurité et à la sûreté

Grand souci du détail et capacité à résoudre les problèmes

Connaissance des réglementations et des normes en matière de sécurité

Certification en santé et sécurité au travail

Capacité à travailler sous pression et dans un environnement d'équipe

Certificat de secourisme de niveau 2 ou 3 en cours de validité

Permis de conduire valide

Connaissance approfondie du COR, de la loi sur les accidents du travail, des règlements en matière de santé et de sécurité au travail et des normes applicables.

Le titre de CSO est considéré comme un atout.

Capacité à rester objectif et à conserver une perspective factuelle lorsqu'il s'agit de répondre à des questions et à des demandes de renseignements.

Excellentes aptitudes à la communication orale et écrite en anglais et en français

Maîtrise des programmes Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word et Excel)

Maîtrise de la technologie - car le logiciel de gestion de la sécurité est utilisé pour effectuer des inspections, des discussions sur les boîtes à outils, etc.

Au moins 3 ans d'expérience pertinente dans un rôle lié à la sécurité

Expérience avérée des processus de certification COR, y compris l'obtention et le maintien de la certification

Maîtrise des logiciels de gestion HSE, des outils de signalement des incidents et de la suite Microsoft Office.
