Rear Load Swamper

Reports to: Operations Supervisor

**As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date.**

**Duties**:

- Assist the Rear Load Driver with cart collection, including manual retrieval and emptying of waste, recycle, and organic carts.
- Act as spotter for Rear Load Driver when operating in confined areas.
- Familiarize themselves with Rear Load routes and the demands placed on the equipment to assist relief Rear Load Drivers as needed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and report any issues or items of concern found.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform strenuous and repetitive physical labour.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Class 5 licence with insurable driving abstract required.
- **A criminal record check will be required.**
