AEC is currently seeking an experienced professional Instructor to teach the **Cybersecurity program.**
**Responsibilities**
- Create an exhilarating learning environment for students in the IT Program.
- Develop and deliver an effective learning environment using available resources, incorporating various teaching/learning methods to meet the course objectives.
- Manage lesson planning, assignments, class, and overall course assessment of the students’ work while ensuring students’ awareness of course objectives and AEC’s expectations.
- Guide class discussions while encouraging debate and feedback by students.
- Challenging ideas, encouraging students to develop skills and knowledge in critical and rational thinking.
- Manage, coordinate and mentor students’ engagement in the various cutting-edge state of the art technology research and development related projects.
- Engage students by tutoring and academic counselling while providing constructive feedback and encouragement when needed.
- Provide academic support to students inside and outside of the classroom
- Conduct further research into their specific field of knowledge.
**Education and Experience**
- A diploma or degree from a recognized University in a relevant discipline or other relevant qualification in the field of IT is required.
- A master’s degree in science or in an appropriate discipline is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the post-secondary environment or equivalent work experience in a related field or combination of both.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Information Technology
- Certification in A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+,PenTest+, CCNA, Ethical hacker is highly recommended.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week
**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Teaching: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+ certification (required)
- PenTest+, CCNA, Ethical hacker certification, (required)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, AB
