**Coordinator, Indigenous Internship Program**

Since its inception in 1993 the Indigenous Internship Program at the Canadian Museum of History has been one of the institution’s marquis initiatives. **Coordinator, Indigenous Internship Program**, **you will be responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating all activities pertaining to the recruitment, selection and placement of participants in the Indigenous Internship Program. This also includes creating and maintaining networks, promoting the program, as well as making recommendations for continuous improvements including alternative delivery models.

**What we are looking for**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and maintain complex multi-level relationships;
- Excellent planning and organizational skills;
- Proven ability to take initiative, as well a work collaboratively;
- Ability to establish good working relationships and demonstrate collaboration with other sections and divisions;
- Knowledge of one or more indigenous languages is considered an asset.

**Relevant experience in**:

- Communicating with Indigenous peoples, communities, organizations and institutions;
- Coordinating education or training programs;
- Supervision of employees or trainees is considered an asset.

**Knowledge of**:

- Indigenous peoples and cultures;
- Museum functions and activities.

**Education**:A College Diploma in Social Science or Humanities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Compensation** : $ 62,989** **to $ 77,955 (E5)
**Status**: Permanent Full-Time Position (# 9991 )
**Security Clearance**: Enhanced Reliability
**Location**:100, Laurier Street, Gatineau, Quebec
