As a general contractor in the field of Heavy Civil Construction and Earthworks, we specialize in subdivision development, site preparation and servicing, public road reconstruction, and road and highway construction.

We are searching for an experienced **Civil Surveyor **to join our hardworking crew here in the Okanagan. The surveyor will be responsible for carrying out surveying duties on the job site through the use of highly specialized GPS grade control systems and other surveying tools. In addition, they will utilize these tools to accurately measure elevations and layouts to ensure all quality is met and that all work performed fully adheres to specified and established goals.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
- Clean driver's abstract
- Experience with Civil 3D AutoCAD and Topcon GPS
- Attentive to safety standards
- Eye for detail

**Responsibilities**:
- Data prep, line work, layouts, controls, and staking
- Utilize specialized GPS equipment and various lasers to determine precise measures of grades and positions on site
- Process survey data to ensure no variances exist
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements, deviations, and any other information obtained during survey activities
- Provide on-site troubleshooting of survey layout and machine control data to ensure all work performed is accurate and up to date
- Communicate regularly and effectively with supervisors and site workers to ensure adherence to layout and grades, including on-site interpretation
- Perform routine field monitoring in the form of grade checking work activities ensuring accuracy to site plans
- Perform manual surveying tasks as necessary
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Must have a minimum 3 years of surveying experience in the construction industry
- Must have a strong working knowledge and experience working with Civil 3D AutoCAD and Topcon GPS
- Must be familiar with company policies and legal guidelines of the field
- Civil and/or pipe experience is preferred
- Must be able to read and understand plans and drawings
- Must be self-motivated and detail-orientated with strong analytical skills
- Must be organized and have strong leadership skills
- Must hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence, preferably with Endorsement 20 or equivalent
- Must be able to provide a clean Driver’s Abstract
**Salary**: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
