We are looking for full-time, Printing Press Operator seeking long-term employment.

**What you will do as a Printing Press Operator**:

- Read the schedule to determine the jobs to be printed and on which machine they are to be printed on
- Read the dockets to determine the required inputs for the jobs (sleeves, inks and film)
- Confirm the supplies needed are beside the press and the correct materials needed for the job
- Use Tori to access the information for the print job
- Enter information accurately into the colour measure and the press
- Set up the press to correspond with the information on the docket including sleeves and carries if needed
- Check the colours being printed to make sure they match the customer specifications using the colour measure
- Perform job checks for assigned job and for coworkers when needed; ensure printed material matches the docket as well as art or sample
- Scan UPC’s and colours per roll
- Conduct roll checks
- Monitor the camera and roll geometry
- Supervise the Printing Press Operators Printing Press Assistant and ensure they remain on task
- Prepare the next scheduled job in advance of the current job completing
- Verifies and ensures that the proper films are on the machines as per the schedule and docket
- Gather all information from the docket and source the supplies needed for the job
- Clean blades, pans floor and press
- Light maintenance on the press as needed
- Provide assistance to other Printing Press Operators or Printing Press Assistants as necessary.
- Complete any related paperwork and/or computer work for jobs
- Reads process-control and verifies whether it’s the correct one for the order; if there is no process-control, create new process controls to use for subsequent orders
- Setups machine as per process control and fine tunes the machine so it is running at maximum output without jeopardizing quality or output
- Checks all running machines for proper set-ups, speed of machines running to process control
- Assists with and performs set-ups on machines and makes sure equipment is at machine one hour before the set-up
- Identifies when machines need repaired and writes work orders or performs repairs if it is a minor maintenance issue; troubleshoots issues on the machines

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the flexographic printing industry is preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Great communication skills
- Ability to think and work independently
- Ability to colour match
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
