SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Valve Technician position is an important role to the Gateway team. We are looking to add a hard-working individual; eager to learn, and with a positive attitude to join our team. Our shop technicians play a vital role in providing the best service and expertise to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate hand tools and powered hands tools.
- Perform work safely and diligently follow checklists, policies, processes & procedures.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for incoming/outgoing jobs
- Work with varying materials/ equipment indoors and outdoors
- Perform general shop tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Perform general shop housekeeping duties.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and overtime to meet deadlines.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Prior Forklift Operator experience is an asset, but not required.
- Minimum Grade 12 Education | Prior experience is an asset, but not required.
- Permanent resident of Canada
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s licence
- Able to deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a professional & timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Eager to work and learn new skills.

**Experience**:

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
