**Job Purpose and Summary**:
This Financial Accountant will support the General Accounting team to ensure the timely and accurate month-end close and financial reporting. This role will assume accounting responsibilities surrounding a number of areas within THP that could include retail services, related entities (intercompany transactions), deferred donations, and other general accounting requirements

**Key Areas of Focus**:

- Accounting responsibility for processing month-end journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, liaising with relevant external parties, department counterparts and leads, and assisting where required

**Specific Accountabilities**:

- Processes journal entries for responsible areas and supports the month-end close process
- Completes monthly balance sheet account reconciliations accurately and timely reflecting the financial position of the organization and highlight potential exposures
- Participates in month end and year end close activities including external audit support

**Key Qualifications**:

- A minimum 3 to 5 years of related progressive experience preferred
- Education - college or university designation with Intermediate accounting courses completed
- Working knowledge of Meditech financial modules preferred
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills combined with excellent organizational and, analytical and attention to detail
- Computer skills, including MS Outlook, MS Office - Word, Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, Internet based programs and Meditech
