Purchasing Agent

Who we are looking for:
A Purchasing Agent responsible for the ordering of materials, supplies and/or equipment, and the follow through with vendors on shipments and delivery, helping keeping our production flowing.

Activities includes, but are not limited to:

- Request quotes and delivery times from approved vendors
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
- Create, seek approval and issue purchase orders and returns
- Create RMA’s in ERP System
- Track outstanding orders, generate reports on a weekly basis and communicate to management
- Determine transportation costs
- Create packing lists, commercial invoices, bills of lading, way bills and NAFTA certificates
- Arrange shipping of orders across Canada, USA and overseas when necessary
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
- Work with shop personnel to ensure proper inventory counts and adjustments in ERP system
- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
- Set up of product codes
- Process sales orders
- Approve and enter invoices
- Ensure rental equipment is ordered, delivered, and returned in a timely manner
- Follow guidelines for tax exemptions where applicable
- Assist in other departments as required

**Requirements**:

- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and be able to cover a wide range of work Setup and maintenance of customers and products in our ERP system and Inventory management Order processing
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Solid organizational & communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve, to prioritize projects and perform under deadlines
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Assets:

- Logistics and purchasing related experience
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
