We are looking for a **skilled and passionate Woodworker** to join our production team. As part of Forest Cooperage, you will craft products that are admired across North America and beyond. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our high standards of craftsmanship, working closely with our Production Manager and a tight-knit team that shares your commitment to quality.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Interpret work orders to understand project specifications.
- Produce high-quality wood products using woodworking machines and hand tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components with precision.
- Use planers, skill saws, bandsaws, sanders, and other woodworking tools.
- Operate a moulder to shape and prepare wood components (moulder experience is an asset, but training will be provided).
- Grade and sort lumber to ensure quality and consistency.
- Handle basic assembly of plumbing parts.
- Assist with the delivery and assembly of products, which may require occasional overnight travel.
- Package finished products for delivery.
- Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring a safe, organized workspace.
- Perform quality control inspections and document work progress.
- Assist with any other tasks as required to support production and business needs.

**Qualifications**
- At least one year of woodworking experience or relevant training.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional post-secondary education or apprenticeship preferred.
- Proficiency with woodworking tools and equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Forklift certification and OFA Level 1 are an asset (willing to train).
- Physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in English.
- Willingness to assist with product deliveries and assemblies that may involve overnight travel.
- Reliable transportation to our Sooke location.
