Edmonton, Canada Source Office Furniture & Systems Ltd. Full time

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the shipping, receiving, and handling of all merchandise to and from the delivery trucks as well as within the warehouse. This is a **full time, permanent** position with 44 hour shifts per week from Monday to Friday (8 hours) and Saturdays (4 hours). We offer Forklift Certification Training after a 3-month probation period.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Unload containers delivered to the warehouse by use of pallet jacks, dollies, etc. and organize the store and merchandise
- Assist with loading onto delivery trucks; ensure the accuracy of the picked products
- Prepare pallets for outbound shipments, including the wrapping of products
- Assist with the pickup of merchandise by customers at the loading dock and safely place purchased items into the customer vehicle once the paperwork has been reviewed and completed
- Will be asked to assist drivers with completing deliveries
- May also act as a back up Machine Operator; experience with Reach Trucks would be an asset

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a warehouse / distribution setting; experience with lift truck operation is an asset; further training towards certification will be provided.
- Ability to handle basic counting and math tasks in handling inventory
- Ability to lift 50-100lbs
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Team player attitude and strong ability to follow directions
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in written form; accurately complete paperwork
