Industrial Spray Painter

**KML Windows Inc.**, a division of Andersen Corporation, is currently seeking an afternoon shift Painter. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the preparation, priming, sanding, and painting of all types of materials within the plant.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies
- Prepares, primes, sands, and paints all types of material
- Meets and maintains standards to provide quality-looking parts
- Mixes paints as necessary
- Helps to organize the material flow in the paint area and proper housekeeping standards
- Participate in defining and improving standard work
- Assist with training co-workers
- Support a respectful workplace
- Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Highschool diploma, GED or an equivalent
- Previous experience with painting in an industrial environment is considered an asset
- Able to identify different colours and ensure consistency
- Knowledge of and ability to mix paints is ideal
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to take instruction/direction from all Managers
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and is able to work under pressure
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Solid knowledge of painting trade equipment and tools is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow Standard Work processes
- Proven ability to work independently
- Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments
- Must have the ability to work flexible shifts and/or additional hours in order to meet customer and timeline requirements
- Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning

**Shift**:Afternoons (Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts)

**Salary**:PIII ($23.05 - $26.45 per hour) + 6% Afternoon shift premium when applicable
