Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and caring individual to join our family as a Nanny/Mothers helper and provide care for our special needs son and our daughter. As a Nanny/Mothers helper, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care and supervision for our children in a safe and nurturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with children and is passionate about their well-being.
- You should be comfortable working with a special needs child, under direct supervision of either parent. You must be comfortable working in a home covered with CCTV cameras.
- You should be able to provide basic communication, behaviour and language modelling, basic tutoring (reading, writing, basic maths) and follow a set recreation schedule. Training will be provided.
- You should have experience with providing gentle sleep training, potty training and absolutely no screen time throughout the day, as well as teaching independence and Montessori methods to our older child.

**Duties**:

- Engage children in age-appropriate/development-appropriate activities, such as games, crafts, and educational exercises
- Encourage learn-through-play and safe exploration
- Provide continuous communication and behaviour modelling exercises
- Provide assistance with reading, writing and other educational (Art, STEM, language) tasks
- Prepare meals and snacks for children, ensuring they receive proper nutrition
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and other personal care needs
- Monitor children's behavior and ensure their safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise

**Skills**:

- Meal preparation: Ability to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children that meet dietary restrictions or preferences
- Clean: Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment for the children
- Caregiving: Experience providing care for children, including bathing, dressing, and diaper changing
- Educate: Ability to assist with directed educational activities for children
- Experience with children: Previous experience caring for children of various ages and needs.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with children is preferred
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents
- Ability to cook nutritious meals for children
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain a clean environment

**Requirements**:

- ECE certification is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Child and Infant CPR and First Aid certification is required
- Vulnerable sectors check is required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible

Pay: $17.50-$19.50 per hour
