**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**:
These are Summer Student positions working eighty (84) hours bi-weekly, from May 2024 to August 2024 within the Rural Operations Branch of the Public Works Division. These positions are within the CUPE 1505 Bargaining Unit and are based in Anzac.

Under close supervision, the Summer Student Labourers will perform manual labour duties to support Rural Operations. Tasks include, but are not limited to, cleaning and maintaining all assigned areas, operating a variety of small equipment and hand/power tools of a limited-skill nature, and performing general labourer duties.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:

- Ability to understand instructions and safety procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate dependability and reliability.
- Ability to work collaboratively and productively with co-workers and actively contribute to team activities.
- Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time and in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work on a rotating shift that includes holidays and weekends.
- Must be able to listen attentively and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- General math, numeracy, and reading skills.

**EDUCATION**:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of one (1) year of post-secondary education is required.

**RECRUITMENT PROCESS**:

- Proof of full-time post-secondary enrollment for the Winter 2024 and Fall 2024 semesters.
- A copy of a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
