Job Summary
The Coordination Advisor (Health Promotion) works in cooperation with the Regional Manager, Regional Leads and community partners to increase public awareness and education for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening within the Central LHIN. The Advisor will develop and successfully implement cancer screening initiatives, programs and campaigns within the region. This position is also responsible for working with regional Indigenous communities and the Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario Indigenous Cancer Care Unit to advance priorities and deliverables as outlined in the First Nations, Inuit, Métis and Urban Indigenous Cancer Strategy 2019-2023. They will liaise with the community, stakeholders, Public Health, clinical leads, other Regional ICS programs and primary care providers to achieve the strategic screening goals and priorities of Cancer Care Ontario and the Regional Cancer Program.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary, university degree required, preferably in Applied Health Sciences, Community Health, Health Promotion or Public Health. Master degree preferred.
- Certification in Project Management and Quality Improvement preferred.
- Professional affiliations as appropriate.
- Minimum of three years of experience in health promotion, or related field required.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, cancer prevention and screening programs is essential.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, the appropriate engagement of Indigenous communities; the building of respectful, bilateral relationships; Truth and Reconciliation; and the duty to consult is essential.
- Experience using data/metrics to drive Quality Improvement required.
- Experience in delivery of patient and staff education required.
- Experience working in Diversity, Inclusion and Equity preferred.
- Experience in a Regional Cancer Centre or within a Regional Cancer Program considered an asset.
