**The Opportunity**

Select Fluid Power is looking for a dedicated and determined **Metal Polisher** to join our team in **Langley, British Columbia**. Within this important role, you will be responsible for operating a cylindrical belt polishing machine, used for polishing hydraulic cylinders. This unique role offers the ability to work autonomously, scheduling flexibility and eligibility for overtime pay.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

As a Polisher, your key responsibilities will include:

- Understand and practice SFP’s safe work procedures and policies
- Safely operate a cylindrical belt polishing machine
- Perform maintenance on belt polisher and dust extractors
- Belt identification
- Use and read measuring tools - micrometer and vernier calipers
- Pre polishing
- Finishing polishing for up to 20’ to 50’ and 3,000 to 10,000 lbs
- Performing a spot weld and sand repairs
- Performing dot welds
- Welding and fabricating jigs for polishing

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Previous experience operating a cylindrical belt polishing machine is strongly preferred
- Experience in a comparable role is preferred, or related experience with machinery, welding, or metal fabrication
- Previous hydraulic industry experience preferred and/or previous chrome shop experience
- Ability to Identify materials: stainless, steel, induction hardened, cast iron, bronze, brass, and spray weld (including HVOF)
- Capability to use an ERP system
- Ability to complete a basic welding course
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks with precision and accuracy is required
- Scheduling flexibility

- The base pay range for this role is: $25 to $45 per hour plus overtime eligibility_

**Salary**: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
