Respite Worker

Renewed Family Services Inc. is a company that provides individuals with disabilities the support they need to reach their potential. We provide individuals with needed support through our various programs including our ABA and IBI therapy program, Social Skills and Camps.

We are looking for individuals who feel they are called to make a difference in the lives of others and are passionate about leaving a positive impact on the world. As a Respite Worker, you will be shaping other individuals' futures for the better by supporting them in developing skills based on their needs. This can include but is not limited to self-help skills (ie. dressing, toileting), academic skills, fine motor and gross motor skills, social skills, play skills etc.

Respite Worker Responsibilities:

- Work 1:1 with clients or in a group setting
- Provide a fun, nurturing environment for clients being supported
- Collaborate with team members
- Assist with shaping behaviour and developing new skills for the client

Respite Worker Requirements:

- Experience working with children, youth and/or adults with disabilities
- Flexible working schedule
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Takes initiative
- Works well under pressure
- Creative
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- A vulnerable sector check is required
- **Access to a vehicle or lives within 10km of our centre in Brampton**

**Spring Schedule**:
Training: March 8th and March 9th

March Break Camp: Monday-Friday (March 13-17) 9 am-3 pm

Respite Day: Saturdays x biweekly

Social Skills: 2x Week

Summer Break Camp: July 10-14 & August 14-18, 9 am-3 pm

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
