In-home Tutor

**We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to provide personalized in-home tutoring to kindergarten to grade - 12 students in Burlington, Ontario.**

**Position Overview**:
As an In-Home Tutor, you will work closely with students providing one-on-one academic support and guidance. You will be responsible for developing customized lesson plans tailored to the student's needs, facilitating engaging and interactive learning sessions, and monitoring their progress.

**Tutor Responsibilities (not an exhausted list)**:

- **Teach engaging and interactive lessons** to promote understanding and retention of key concepts.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate **diverse learning styles and abilities**.
- Assess students' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tutoring sessions, including student performance and lesson plans.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the tutoring company to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to continuously improve teaching methods and curriculum materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a valid Driver's Licence, insurance & reliable access to a car.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in a one-on-one setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and insurance.
- Ability to travel to students' homes within a designated service area.
- (If needed) ability to commute to the storage facility (in Oakville directly off the QEW) during open hours to pick up learning materials/resources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate students' schedules, including evenings and weekends.
