Western Health is seeking the services of a salaried Hospitalist to provide in-patient coverage. The Hospitalist position is accountable for the effective and efficient provision of medical care to patients at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital at 142 Minnesota Dr, Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital is a 44-bed acute care hospital offering 24-hour emergency room service and predominantly General Surgery lists, although surgical services are being expanded. Procedural Chronic Pain clinics are run weekly. The hospital is located approximately one hour's drive away from Corner Brook. Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a 217-bed regional referral center for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 78,000 people.

We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Medical School and we encourage and support academic interests.

Qualifications Required: Eligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) and satisfy the credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Family Practice. Two years related work experience is an asset.

Hours of Work: 80 hours biweekly plus on-call obligations

Remuneration: The current sessional, hourly rate is $188.84. An annual Retention bonus is offered in accordance with the current MOA. An annual Retention bonus is offered in accordance with the current MOA. Additional benefits are available.
