**The Registered Respiratory Therapist** works collaboratively within an inter-professional team, you will be responsible for performing Pulmonary Function Testing to assist the Physician in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders as well as providing the necessary and relevant respiratory education to the patient. This position is responsible for ongoing quality assurance of test results, quality control activities for all instruments, routine maintenance of testing equipment and maintaining all equipment and inventory. Alongside all this,

the Registered Respiratory Therapist will maintain professionalism and ongoing relationships with our referral sources and have a commitment to furthering their own knowledge base through continuing education and life-long learning.

**The Responsibilities Include**:
**A Minimum 3 years of Proven Experience will be required**
- Educate Patients with complex respiratory needs on the details of their diagnosis, Intervention and treatments
- Ability to perform test such as SVC, FVC, DLCO Body Plethysmography and Methacholine challenge test as per ATS Guidelines
- Perform Pre / Pos Spirometry test
- Exceptional ability to perform Arterial Blood Gases - ABGs in Clinic and assessed patients need.
- Daily equipment calibration and monthly maintenance of body box along with documentation in accordance with accreditation standards.
- Performing full pulmonary function tests in accordance with ATS standards
- Provide PFT training for new staff.
- Perform 6 Minute Walk Test using Oximeter
- Prepare PFT testing rooms for the day including calibrations
- Greets check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner from the waiting room
- Screen patients for PFT contraindications, confirming the patient’s responses on the PFT intake questionnaire
- Confers with patient in treatment room to explain test procedures.
- Performs Pulmonary-Function testing using Our Systems
- Monitor patients comfort and safety while conducting testing
- Complete PFT reports, ensure accuracy of testing procedures and Pulmonologists’ interpretations
- Perform quality assurance procedures as per PFT manual
- Communications with the Pulmonologist on duty
- Retrieve interpreted PFT results and provide them to Admin support for processing ensure Scanning and linking patient documents into charts and auditing to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition and ensure the testing room (s) are properly supplied and operational at all times.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect any documentation during operation of Lab

**Home Oxygen Therapy**
- Must have previous experience with Home Oxygen setup
- Must have experience with CPAP Therapy

**Sleep Lab**
- Knowledge in testing preparation procedures and polysomnographic procedures
- Ability to analyze and use sleep study equipment including CPAP,BPAP,EEG,ECG,EMG,and 02
- Knowledge of sandman systems

**Experience with Equipment and software**:

- Experience with VMAX, Mini Box
- AGM Platinum Elite Series Body Plethysmograph
- Health Quest EMR systems
- Breeze suite software
- Ascent software
- Sandman
- Gem 3500
- Experience Oxygen Therapy Equipment
- Office 365

**The Requirements**:

- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to Administrate the Lab and work well independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all team members and patients
- Must be an Excellent team player
- Detail oriented, good planning and organizational skills
- Clean Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector
- Full COVID-19 immunization status
- Whimmis 2015 certificate
- TDG Certificate
- Must be willing to Relocate

**Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Per Year**
