Sterilization Technician

Sterilization Technician needed for growing dental office. You will sterilizing instruments, complete equipment maintenance, set up rooms and assist the Dentist when needed.
**Dental Assistant Responsibilities**:
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
- Providing great patient care.
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
- Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
- Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
- Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Caring for dental equipment.
- Impressions
- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
**Dental Assistant Requirements**:
- IPAC and WHMIS training (can be provided)
- Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program.
- Dental x-ray certification.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Abeldent and Dexis software knowledge an asset but not mandatory.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week
**Salary**: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

**Experience**:
- Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Certified Dental Assistant Diploma (preferred)
