**Job Summary**

Responsible for accurate recording of incoming and outgoing shipments in a complex warehouse management system. Prepares shipments to retailers ensuring accurate completion of appropriate paperwork.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Verify completeness of all incoming shipments prior to signing receipt of shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory by ensuring all goods are entered into the warehouse management system and are tagged appropriately.
- Prepares bills of lading, customer invoices and fruit receipts using the customized VGC software.
- Monitors inventory levels daily and advises supervisor of deficiencies.
- Operates equipment safely and efficiently and provides general labour inside and/or outside the facility. This would include loading and unloading of trucks, both customer or supplier owned and VGC owned.
- Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
- Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
- Maintains vehicle maintenance reports.
- Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiencies.
- Deals effectively and courteously with customers and co-workers; may be required to offer assistance or information to customers.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

This job will require the supervising of part time seasonal staff or when the warehouse supervisor is off site or away.

**Education and/or Experience**

At least one year experience in data entry and/or warehouse operations an asset.

**Language Skills**

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

**Mathematical Skills**

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

**Computer Skills**

To perform this job successfully, the individual should have sufficient computer skills. They must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. This individual will be trained on VG customized software. (Famous)

Class G Driver License, TDG (Transportation Dangerous Goods), Tow-Motor Operator Certificate
