This position is a 12-month contract.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director, Consumer, Sensory & Market Insights (CSMI), the Analyst, Sustainability Assessment will support Vineland’s project in sustainability assessment. This includes data collection, analysis and creation of horticulture-focused sustainability assessments related to the environment, social and economic pillars.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

With a focus on horticulture, this position will:

- Support data collection, analysis and creation of sustainability assessments related to environmental baseline studies, life-cycle analysis, environmental cost-benefit analysis, social implications and measurement and greenhouse gas emissions for internal and external projects
- Source and compile relevant data from primary and secondary sources
- Provide data analytics, modeling, interpretation and report writing for sustainability and impact assessments
- Interpret results with regard to their business sustainability relevance and devise actions, present findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Support corporate accounting and reporting of ESG quantitative metrics

**Qualifications**:

- MSc or MES preferred or BSc with two to three years of relevant experience in environmental sustainability or related field
- Comprehensive understanding of sustainability and its pillars
- Research and technical skills - demonstrated experience of working in one or more of the following areas:

- Practical experience in life cycle analyses and/or environmental product declarations (EPDs), working knowledge of LCA tools
- Hands-on experience in greenhouse gas (GHG) estimation projects and carbon footprint reduction techniques/methods/tools
- Development and evaluation of sustainability key performance indicators (KPIs) and development and management of monitoring and evaluation (M & E) plans
- Proficient in environmental cost-benefit analysis (CBA)
- Knowledge of relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation and policies will be considered an asset
- Experience with data collection, statistical analysis and report writing
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Strong project coordination, organization and analytical skills
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
