**Inc., Dryden Operations, is currently seeking an individual to join the Dryden Team.**
**A progressive community set between Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, Dryden offers excellent medical, educational and recreational**
**facilities.**

Reporting to the Dryden Mill Manager, your role will be to provide purchasing leadership and support to the Dryden Mill. The Purchasing Manager complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics and ensures site compliances with corporate contracts, initiatives, and policies.

**cally, you will***:

- Set strategic priorities, goals, and forecasts for all purchasing and procurement related activities (including capital, major and minor maintenance).
- Manage purchasing processes and strategies in addition to managing and processing site business transactions (i.e., day-to-day buying).
- Maintain, control, optimize, and reduce inventory levels and resolve any procurement and/or storeroom issues
- Work in partnership with operations, maintenance, and other departments to understand business drivers and align purchasing objectives with business goals.
- Act as the liaison and primary point of contact with the corporate Central Purchasing Group.
- Review and negotiate competitive bids, purchase agreements and contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Review and manage all site requests for proposal (RPFs) including quotes for maintenance work orders.

**our profile**:

- You hold a diploma/degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
- You have 5+ years’ experience in a purchasing role in an industrial environment with experience in negotiation, preparing and administering contracts and agreements.
- You have a safety-oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- You possess excellent computer skills with MRP Software, MS Office, and scheduling software. The ability to use SAP is considered an asset.
- Knowledge and operational understanding of Pulp and Paper manufacturing is considered an asset.
