Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a **Strategic Initiatives Lead**.**
The Strategic Initiatives Team Lead will employ Project & Change Management best practices to plan and achieve the strategic objectives of the Supply Chain. The Lead will manage a team of Associates and Intermediate Specialists focused on Supply Chain Value Creation, Continuous Improvement, process improvements and strategic initiatives.
The focus of this role will include collaborating with leadership and other stakeholders to prioritize and plan initiatives aligned with the supply chain management plan. The Strategic Initiatives Team Lead will be counted on to improve supply operations and employee productivity in a cohesive and standardized manner.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: University degree in relevant field of study (eg. Engineering or Business)
- Green Belt, Black Belt or PMP considered an asset.
- Procurement / Supply Chain accreditation: SCMP, MCIPS or ISM would be considered an asset.
- **Experience**: 3-5 years project management experience in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing or shipbuilding environment
- Experience managing multiple initiatives at once.
- Experience presenting to senior executives and high-level competency with project management tools.
- All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)._
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead direct reports to prioritize, plan, develop, execute, and execute supply chain initiatives in diverse portfolio.
- Deploys and aligns bests practices across Supply Chain through Continuous improvement initiatives.
- Application of project management best practices to supply chains initiatives/projects.
- Prioritize and progress diverse array of projects impacting end to end supply chain.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and foster key stakeholder and relationships across the organization.
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Ensure all initiatives and projects are appropriately sponsored, resourced, managed and supported to ensure success.
- Lead change:
- Mature Supply Chain’s Business Management Model:
- Mature supply chain policies, processes, work instructions and standardize across programs (where applicable)
