**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set Up and Operation:_
- Set up fiber laser cutting machines according to job specifications.
- Load materials such as steel, aluminum, and other metals into the machine.
- Adjust machine settings, including laser power, speed, and focus, to ensure accurate cuts.
- Nesting:_
- Perform nesting of parts on sheets to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
- Use nesting software to efficiently arrange parts on material sheets before cutting.
- Ensure the most effective layout to maximize yield from raw materials while maintaining product quality.
- Quality Control:_
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Perform regular quality checks during production runs to ensure consistency.
- Make necessary adjustments to the machine to maintain precision and quality standards.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:_
- Perform routine maintenance on laser cutting machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the cutting process.
- Report any mechanical or technical problems to the maintenance team or supervisor.
- Technical Documentation_:

- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Record production data and maintain accurate records of machine settings, nesting layouts, and adjustments.
- Safety and Compliance:_
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
- Collaboration:_
- Work closely with other team members, including programmers, engineers, and quality control staff, to optimize production processes.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and report any issues or concerns.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience:_
- Previous experience operating fiber laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience with nesting software and techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation is an asset.
- CNC press brake experience would be considered an asset
- Technical Skills:_
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of laser cutting technology, material properties, and nesting strategies.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Physical Requirements:_
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
- Attention to Detail:_
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Communication Skills:_
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Education:_
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training or certification in CNC machining or laser cutting is a plus.
- Work Environment:_
- This position is based in a manufacturing facility with exposure to various materials, machinery, and production processes.
- Overtime may be required during peak production periods.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- No weekends
