At Levy Zavet PC we consider our team to be well equipped to address any real estate matters, from simple closings of purchases, sales, mortgages, refinances and complex acquisitions, to acting on behalf of condo developers, home builders, mortgage lenders and private lenders, or as the trusted legal advisor to businesses on corporate and transactional matters.

**Responsibilities**:

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
- Provide legal advice to clients on corporate matters.
- Research and analyze legal issues related to corporate law.
- Advise clients on corporate governance and compliance matters.
- Conduct due diligence reviews.
- Advise clients on acquisitions.
- The ability to work independently on all matters involving the closing of residential and commercial transactions pertaining to real estate transactions;
- Performance of administrative work related to the closing of the real estate transactions, corporate transactions including issuing invoices, collections, processing EFT’s and wires payments, posting entries in PC Law etc.
- Execute and manage asset based commercial loans including real estate financing transactions, and work on a range of lending matters, including acting for lenders and borrowers on secured debt-financing transactions.
- Play an important role in mentoring and training clerks and junior lawyers with respect to a high volume portfolio lending practice.
- Work as part of a team on project finance, acquisition finance and general corporate finance.
- Have direct client management responsibilities with extensive client interaction.
- Have excellent writing and communication skills and be prepared to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Contract drafting skills particularly in relation to real estate security documents, purchase and sale agreements, leases, partnership and joint venture agreements, and other business related agreements.
- Incorporating and organizing both provincial and federal corporations.
- General title matters and drafting and reviewing instruments to be registered on title.
- Assisting with condo developments and mass closings.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $73,569.54-$136,582.15 per year

**Experience**:

- real estate law: 1 year (required)
- corporate law: 2 years (required)
- commercial real estate law: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- law degree licensed in Ontario (required)
