**Position Scope**

The Active Living Coordinatorʼs primary responsibilities involve supporting residents of North Queens in accessing public spaces, programs, and services that foster active living, increase inclusion and access to recreation, and ensure the provision of supportive physical and social environments that encourage participation in recreation and help build a strong, caring community.Coordinate and enhance the provision of diverse recreational, educational, and lifelong learning opportunities for residents of North Queens. Promote active living events and activities.

**Job Duties**
- Lead efforts that support community capacity building, such as through supporting leadership development and engaging community stakeholders in partnerships.
- Develop operational procedures for access to recreation facilities such as user fee structures and equipment use guidelines.
- Work with the NQ Active Living Society to report on progress.
- Collaborate with staff from the Region of Queens Municipality, the Provincial Government, and the South Shore Regional Centre for Education to explore opportunities and share progress.
- Participate in active living initiatives in the North Queens community.

**Qualifications**
- Demonstrated competency in community development.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, written and verbal communication.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 17.5 per week

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
