**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
**WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF**:
- Provide emergency spill response including: coordination of 3rd party contractors, initial containment and recovery, site assessment, data collection, daily summary reports and technical report writing.
- Communicate field observations and project status updates to direct supervisor and other project specialists.
- Ensure all work activities are accurately documented and uploaded to project specific files.
- Adhere and be accountable to the technical and financial project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and remain current with environmental legislation, and regulatory updates.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Degree (or Diploma) in Environmental Sciences or related discipline.
- Experience working with strong safety standards and culture.
- Class 5 Drivers License.
- Professional designation or the ability to acquire a professional designation (i.e.: registered professional Biologist, Agrologist, Forester, Geoscientist, Chemist, Engineer, or Technologist) an asset.
- Current safety certification (H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Level II, Standard First Aid, Common Safety Orientation, Construction Safety Training Systems, Bear Awareness) an asset.
- Formal training in Incident Command System, spill response, emergency management, boat operation, outdoor pursuits, and/or environmental assessment an asset.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player, leader, and positive attitude.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Outdoor skills required to work proficiently in a remote field environment.
- General understanding of the applicable provincial and federal environmental regulations, or desire to learn.
- Experience with environmental laboratory data interpretation and a desire to learn.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
