**Job Title: Lead Custodian(Custodial Supervisor)**

LOCATION: City Centre Park located at 1097 Langford Parkway, 1089 Langford Parkway, 3022 Glen Lake Road & 3048 Glen Lake Road

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager

**GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE**:
The Lead Custodian is responsible for completing as well as supervising the work of the custodial staff, modifying procedures as required, managing inventories, ordering supplies and tracking work to be completed on a daily basis. This position will also offer support with general maintenance and events. The Lead Custodian is responsible for ensuring all facilities are kept clean and well maintained, training new staff on correct procedures using established company training plans and checklists, and auditing the training of new custodial staff.

**TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Daily inspections of all facilities to identify areas needing attention, and communicating incomplete work to Maintenance Manager for follow up
- Work with the Human Resources Manager to update or modify procedures for staff as required
- Communication and ongoing support and training for custodial staff
- Track all maintenance requirements in Equipment Maintenance log
- Work with department staff to ensure that weekly and monthly deep-cleaning reports are completed and documented in maintenance checklists
- Oversee inventories, ordering, and rotation of stock throughout facilities
- Communicate any misuse of company facilities by users to Facility Bookings Coordinator and Operations Manager for follow up
- Ensure safe use of chemicals and equipment
- Maintain a high level of sanitation in all facilities
- Ensure that equipment is cared for in such a way as to maximize useful life
- Ensure that garbage collection frequencies are adequate
- Communicate to Maintenance Manager on scheduling and equipment requirements
- Working with Events Coordinator on special functions to ensure a smooth execution

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience
- Criminal record check
- Custodial experience

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:Work is performed throughout all facilities at City Centre Park, both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Hours may vary; days, evenings and weekends. Physical labour including cleaning and heavy lifting may be required. Job hazards may include slips, and cuts, but injuries are seldom serious. This is a working supervisor role with mínimal administrative duties, and requires long periods of time standing, walking, and completing movements such as bending, leaning, crouching, and frequent lifting boxes or packages up to 50lbs.
