Shipper/receiver

**Job** **Summary**:
To load and unload product on trailers for shipment and receiving

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Loading and unloading of product for shipment (including customer pickups) by hand or assisted by forklift or crane
- Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders and other equipment to transport product to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks and to store and retrieve materials from warehouses
- May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Unpack, code and route incoming goods to appropriate storage area
- Record all inventory discrepancies to appropriate personnel
- Yard clean up as deemed necessary
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- Physical strength is required
- Excellent people & organizational skills
- Be able to read and write English
- Current and valid applicable licenses
- Willingness to learn and the ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Flexible with hours
- Experience in operating all sizes of forklifts would be an asset
- Previous experience in production/shipping environment

**Working Conditions**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
