Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recreation Aide to join our team. As a Recreation Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents in the nursing home and assisted living facility. **Duties**:

- Plan, organize, and implement recreational activities for residents, taking into consideration their individual needs and preferences
- Lead group exercises, games, crafts, and other recreational programs
- Assist residents with mobility and provide support during recreational activities
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents to participate in activities
- Document resident participation and progress in recreational programs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- High school diploma or equivalent

**Salary**: From $21.64 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
