We offer 24/7 crisis shelter transitional housing options on-site and, in the community, health and well-being support, training and skill development, and ongoing care once youth move into the community.
For over 40 years, Covenant House has been dedicated to its mission of serving youth on the street and to protect and safeguard all youth with absolute respect and unconditional love. Since 1982, Covenant House has supported more than 100,000 young people.
**Overview:
**Covenant House Toronto is a leader in the anti-human trafficking services for youth. The Anti-Human Trafficking Manager works with our anti-trafficking team to support youth to have sustained exits and rebuild their lives. The Manager currently oversees two transitional housing programs designed for survivors, our Advocate team (who support survivors to navigate systems including the legal system), and our trafficking prevention program (Enhancing Outcomes). The Manager plays an active role in assuring continuous quality improvement of existing programs, identify strengths and gaps in existing services and develop and evaluate new programs.
**Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that services delivered to youth in these programs are consistent with Covenant House principles.
- Responsive to the needs of youth at all stages of their experience with trafficking including prevention services.
- Responsible for ensuring that services provided to youth are co-coordinated and collaborative with other program departments.
- Responsible for identifying gaps in service and playing a creative role in program development.
- Participates in the strategic planning process identifying objectives for program areas in their portfolio.
- Responsible for quality assurance of program data collection and monitoring program trends.
- Ensuring Case Management documentation is complete and clinical records are compliant with agency guidelines and best practices.
- Monitoring the program outputs and outcomes, significant incidents, and discharges; attending regular Case Reviews and team meetings.
- Actively participates in the Program Management team by providing content area expertise and supporting the agency’s strategic plan and change management activities.
- Responsible for developing partnerships and coordinating services with comparable community programs.
- Directly supervises, appraises and evaluates Anti-Human Trafficking staff.
- Facilitates training of external partners about trafficking directly or indirectly by supporting staff to facilitate training sessions.
- Prepares and monitors budgets for program areas in their portfolio.
- Acts as program liaison and develops program reports for government funders.
- Providing leadership; setting expectations and promoting effective working relationships within program areas.
- Demonstrate awareness of organization health and safety policies and programs.
**Qualification, Experience**:
- B.S.W. or M.S.W plus minimum 5 years related working experience, including 2 years at a supervisory/program management level.
- Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and capability to provide clinical supervision is an asset.
- Experiencing working with trafficking survivors and adjacent systems is required.
- Experience with using and implementing a trauma-informed approach in supervision of staff and in working with young people and in programming.
- Understanding of harm reduction approaches and ability to support staff to use harm reduction approaches in their work.
- Experience with quality improvement projects and/or program evaluation is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated skills in human resource management.Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer literate.
