**Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Long Term Care**
**Part-Time**, **Permanent***

**Hourly Wage Range**:$24.57 - $26.47**

**General**
A thirty (30) hour per pay period, Part-Time Permanent Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Long Term Care position is being offered in the Radiant Care Tabor Manor Nursing department. The start date of this position is to be determined.

**Scheduled Shifts**
Line 38. PSW FTE: 0.4000

**Week #1**

Tuesday 06:00 - 14:00

Saturday 06:00 - 14:00

**Week #2**

Sunday 06:00 - 14:00

Friday 14:00 - 22:00

**Week #3**

Tuesday 14:00 - 22:00

Saturday 14:00 - 22:00

**Week #4**

Sunday 14:00 - 22:00

Friday 06:00 - 14:00

**Qualifications**

Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to,
- Training and education in caring for seniors in long term care
- Demonstrated experience in caring for seniors in long term care
- Current CPR Certification an asset
- Valid PSW Certification

**Eligibility and Selection Criteria**

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
- Provides safe and efficient personal care for residents including all activities of daily living to ensure optimum physical, social, recreational, spiritual and psychological well-being
- Effectively communicates with residents, staff and families
- Provides excellent customer service in a respectful, courteous and pleasant manner
- Provides individualized service in a home-like setting
- Adapt to changing needs of residents and be able to adjust service delivery, as required under the direction of the ADOC/DOC
- Observes and reports changes in resident’s status
- Records necessary data on resident health and provision of service
- Shares responsibility for care of equipment in the home and personal belongings of residents
- Works co-operatively with team members
- Receives direction from registered staff
- Participates in quality improvement activities, in-service sessions, training as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
