- your availability Monday-Friday from 9AM-6PM

Computerized Note Takers/Transcribers are required to attend all University course lectures in-person and remotely. The Computerized Notetaker is required to electronically document; lectures, videos, questions, comments, presentations, group activities and any other information relating to content or participant interaction. Computerized Note-Takers Note takers must ensure notes are accurate, clear, concise and include all necessary information. Proofread, edit and format notes after meetings. Provide completed work to Citywide Notes Ltd. within a designated timeframe.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Attend live lectures to document conversations, lectures, discussions and other activities occurring in scheduled hours using a laptop computer.
- Listen closely to lectures to develop high quality, accurate notes.
- Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the class to prepare for set up.
- Proofread, edit and format notes after each assignment.
- Ensure notes are accurate, clear, concise and include all necessary information.
- Provide completed work to Citywide Notes within a designated time frame.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Preference given to applicants with 2 year college program in court reporting/real time captioning
- Must have access to own Laptop with a minimum 13” screen and 3 hour battery life
- Must have a minimum typing speed of  70 wpm
- Must pass Computerized Notetaker Screening
- Strong writing and editing skills, including proficient use of grammar.
- Experience in a Canadian post-secondary environment an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Have a positive and professional attitude, dependability.
- Strong listening skills i.e. listening to multiple people in a conversation, able to block out ambient noise.
- Focused time management skills.
- Can meet deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 4 months
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.50 per hour
