Axe Coach

As an axe-throwing coach you will be an ambassador of exceptional service, safety, and fun that is to be expected of the Escape Manor team. Taking a leading role in our axe throwing arena, coaches must be able to take charge, entertain and guide groups through their experiences. Axe throwing skills are not a requirement
- however, you do need to be pumped to learn this skill and then share this passion with everyone you coach.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the General Manager & Axe Coach Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
- Assist in delivering the smooth conduct of events and party play.
- Serve guests food and alcoholic beverages
- Keep the venue in top notch condition.
- Ensure equipment is in good condition and repaired or replaced as necessary.
- Responsible for making sure service to guests is delivered in accordance with Escape Manor Service and Safety Standards at all times.
- Be an ambassador for Escape Manor and maintain a professional and neat appearance.
- Always have full knowledge of promotions.
- Have full knowledge of all lounge activations, game add-ons, and escape rooms.
- Assist guests regarding escape room and axe throwing experiences and booking
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Previous leadership experience an asset
- Smart serve an asset
- A strong desire to coach and help others do well and have fun.
- Previous point of sale system experience an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Lot’s of axe throwing

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.50-$17.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Tips

**Experience**:

- axe coach: 2 years (preferred)
- axe throwing: 4 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (required)
