Reporting to the Director, Student Life & Learning, the Housing Operations Coordinator oversees the student housing function at CUE and supervises a student staff of Community Leaders and Programming Assistants.

The Housing Operations Coordinator will lead the student conduct process in residence by reviewing and assigning incidents, conducting investigations, assigning sanctions, reviewing, and developing departmental policies/procedures, and supporting other staff. Additionally, this position ensures an effective off-campus housing program, connecting students with landlords and, community agencies.

**Housing Business Operations & Administration**
- Manage third-party services as they relate to residence, including supporting the management of Food Services.
- Collaborate with Facilities Management to monitor assets and maintain a cyclical asset replacement plan
- Participate in and administer a 24/7 Manager On-Call rotation for residence, resolving high-level crises including suicidal ideation, actual or threatened violence, facilities issues, and other complex situations.

**Residence Student & Community Development**
- Research, develop, implement, and evaluate a student programming model in alignment with Concordia University of Edmonton’s institutional learning outcomes.
- Manage the Housing team and provide supervision and mentorship to the student staff.
- Meet with students to address resident conflicts and lower-level alleged misconduct.
- Advise students from a developmental lens on off-campus housing questions/concerns and connect students with housing resources as necessary; and
- Maintain a clearly advertised system for off-campus housing listings, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to limit/avoid legal liability.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree in a related field such as psychology, human services, education, sociology, management/business administration, etc. is required.
- 4 years of progressive residence/student life (or substantially similar) experience at the student and professional level, is required.
- At least 2 years experience in housing, property management, or similar is preferred.
- Training in ASIST, Mental Health First Aid, and/or crisis intervention is preferred.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate in times of conflict and crisis.
- The ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong research skills and ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, occasionally with tight deadlines; and
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check results
