**About the Role**:
Under the direction of the Director of Child and Family Services and within the mission statements, policies and procedures of the Association, the main focus of this position is to supervise and manage respite service programs for children (5 to 21 years old) who have a developmental disability - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ensuring quality outcomes and supports for the staff, the children/youth and their caregivers. As part of the management and leadership team of CLNH, the Manager is responsible for the continued development and oversight of our children/youth respite programs.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Post-Secondary Degree from a recognized University or degree-granting institution and/or Community College Diploma in Behavioural Sciences field, Child and youth Work or related filed with five to ten years related experience working with and managing staff who support children/youth with a developmental disability /Autism.
- Skills and experience orientating, managing and supporting staff including mentoring, coaching, training and performance management.
- Working knowledge of behaviorally complex children/youth.
- Strong verbal, written and administrative skills.
- The ability to work well with a team of professionals is necessary.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector preferred.
- Ability to function both independently and collaboratively with initiative and self-motivation
- To work a flexible schedule of days, evenings and weekends to support the needs of the program

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide day-to-day supervision and support of the staff teams and delivery of services, including but not limited to respite programs.
- Orientate, manage and support staff including mentoring, coaching, training and performance management.
- Identify and support professional learning development
- Conduct individual and group meetings
- Manage casefiles, staff schedules to meet site needs of the programs
- Promote an integrated service delivery model
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures including those related to privacy, documentation, health and safety and infection control
- Develops and implements program evaluations and monitors ongoing program performance measures for continuous improvement through client satisfaction surveys
- Participates in community networking and community partnerships.
- Screen level of service supports, conduct intakes and discharges
- Ensure quality of service and adherence to agency mission, vision and value statements
- Participate and be accountable for time approval for payroll purposes of hours for support staff, and reporting for budgetary needs
- Contribute to the Annual Budgeting process; monitor and track program budgets
- Ability to think ethically and professional and to clearly communicate different perspectives and rational for decision making
- Ability to multi-task and be highly flexible in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
- Project management skills, including the ability to plan; coordinate and lead projects that support our organizations vision and mission statements
- To understand and adhere to CLNH Policies and Procedures as well as support our Collective Agreement

**HOURS OF WORK**:
Committed to regular 80 hour bi-weekly schedule that meets the needs of the program (flexibility to work

days, evenings and weekends required)

Monday to Friday days and rotating shifts until 6:30pm.

Rotating Saturday shifts 8am to 4pm, September to June
