Golf Course Maintenance

TMSI Sports Management is seeking turf maintenance staff for this coming golf golf season who can assist with the daily grounds operations and of the turf management maintenance programs at Thunderbird Sports Centre (9 hole golf course located in Kanata/Carp).

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Superintendent to maintain conditions of the golf course
- Adhere to all Golf Course Maintenance and Health & Safety Policy procedures
- Operate maintenance equipment including, but not limited to walking reel mowers, riding mowers, utility carts
- Operate small equipment including, but not limited to rotary mowers, string trimmers and backpack blowers
- Maintain bunkers / sand traps through daily raking and weeding
- Aid in irrigation practices
- Ensure your equipment, tools, work environment and maintenance facility are cleaned to department standards

Qualifications:

- Experience in golf course maintenance / landscaping is an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic - teamwork and cooperation skills
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail to deliver set standards
- Commitment to working in a safe manner

We have both fulltime and part time, seasonal positions available.

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
