Within Technology and Innovation, the One Government Experience (1GX) Centre of Excellence (COE) branch provides transformational leadership to support and enable the shift to a One Government approach to corporate services across the Government of Alberta including the Independent Legislative Offices (ILO) through managing the implementation and ongoing operations of the enterprise resource planning system, 1GX. The success of 1GX enables the delivery of corporate services in a way that is flexible, accessible, economical, scalable, integrated, and relevant to the needs of the Alberta Public Service.

Within the 1GX COE branch, the Information and Business Excellence team has two key areas of responsibility. Information excellence ensures that the master data within 1GX is accurate to ensure that end users are working with the correct information. Business excellence support the user adoption of 1GX through change management and training.

**Role Responsibilities**:

1GX must have accurate and timely master data for all three functional streams. Master data is the base for all the functionality of the system and ensures that workflows for processing transactions work as designed. We know we need a team who can critically question, evaluate, design and test master data so that users have what they need when they need it.

Reporting to the Manager, Information Excellence, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about data quality and integrity. Working collaboratively with the larger 1GX Center of Excellence team, you will lead and/or support upgrades, maintenance, enhancements and new functionality throughout the design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases. You also will work with clients across government to help understand how the master data and workflows work in an integrated solution. Using your creative and technical skills for looking at issues, you will identify and analyze the data to drive innovative solutions for issues or improvements.

As the MDM and Workflow Lead, you use your creative skills to develop solutions that are innovative and effective. Your data analysis expertise is superb, and you are constantly looking to improve how data can be used to support improvements to 1GX and business processes. You take great pride in developing processes to ensure that data integrity is at the forefront. In addition, you have exemplary customer service skills to help users across government with inquiries.
