We are seeking an experienced Barge Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as excavators and bobcats, to perform various tasks on islands and in and around the Thousand Islands. Your expertise in operating and maintaining these machines will contribute to the successful completion of projects.

- Operate excavators, bobcats and other heavy equipment according to project specifications
- Perform excavation, digging, and grading tasks as required
- Safely operate equipment to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the job site

- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations
- Follow project plans and blueprints to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols on the job site

Qualifications:

- driver's license and boat license
- Proven experience operating excavators, bobcats and other heavy equipment
- Proficiency in operating Caterpillar machinery is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret project plans
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Physical stamina to withstand long hours of work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
