**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Accounting Clerk at our Home Office located at 10 Prairie Way, in Winnipeg. This position reports to the Finance Manager.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

- Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.
- Reconcile daily sales transactions and sales reports to ensure accuracy and appropriate coding.
- Maintain and update various excel reports.
- Review daily petroleum reports to ensure it is in accordance with Company policy and guidelines.
- Matching and analyzing inventory purchases to vendor invoices, investigating any discrepancies.
- Provide outstanding internal and external customer service.
- Assist with special projects related to continuous improvement and process improvements to the organization for further efficiency growth.
- Assist with other accounting and administration departments and duties as needed or required.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge would be considered an asset.
- You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines.
- You possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- You are a proactive, forward-thinking individual who has the ability to multi-task, with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- You must be able to build and maintain relationships and have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
- You have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
