Are you a compassionate and skilled professional in the funeral industry looking for a meaningful career opportunity? Allison Funeral Home is seeking a dedicated Funeral Director Class 1 or currently registered intern to join our team in Port Hope, Ontario.

**About Us**:Allison Funeral Home has been serving families in the community of Port Hope for many years. We are committed to providing personalized and compassionate funeral services to help families honour the lives of their loved ones with dignity and respect.

**Responsibilities**:As a Funeral Director Class 1 or a licenced intern, you will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral planning process, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity during their time of loss. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Meeting with families to discuss funeral arrangements and providing guidance on various service options.
- Assisting families in making decisions regarding caskets, urns, memorials, and other funeral merchandise.
- Preparing the deceased for visitations, funerals, or memorial services with the utmost care and professionalism.
- Coordinating and overseeing funeral services to ensure everything runs smoothly and according to the family's wishes.
- Conducting pre-arrangement consultations with individuals interested in planning their own funerals in advance.
- Complying with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the funeral industry.
- Licensed as a Funeral Director Class 1 in the province of Ontario.
- Proven experience in arranging and directing funerals with compassion and professionalism.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact sensitively with grieving families.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and ensure smooth funeral operations.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service.
- Expierence with funeral specific CRM software and the Microsoft suite of products.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a compassionate team.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
