Machine Shop Helper

**Position Summary**:
As a Machine Shop Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our machine shop operations. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with cutting and threading of pipes to precise specifications, ensuring that all products meet the highest of quality standards.

**Shift**: 8:00am to 4:30pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the setup and operation of machines for cutting and threading pipes;
- Load and unload materials into and out of machines;
- Verified that the product received from the operator is correct as per the Work Order requirements;
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting using precision tools;
- Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed to maintain product quality;
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and work order requirements;
- Accurately complete all required documentation;
- Maintain a clean and organized work area;
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment;
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment;
- Assist in warehouse to pick and package order, as required;
- Use of forklift to load and unload product from trailer;
- Overtime hours, as required.

**Requirements**:

- **Work Experience**: Warehouse distribution, considered an asset;
- **Machining Equipment**: Demonstrated ability to operate, previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment is an asset but not required;
- **Forklift Certificate**: 1 years’ experience, preferred, but willing to train if no experience;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude;
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members;
- Good mathematical skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately;
- Able to read orders, work order, and understand product quantities;
- Must be able to carry and move product and/or supplies that can weigh approximately 50lbs;
- Physical effort requiring manual dexterity;
- Able to wear required PPE, such as steel toed boots with metatarsal guards, safety glasses, hard hat, and coveralls always within our Operations Department.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
